When it comes to selecting a poker table, one of the first questions that comes up is whether to have a custom table or an off the shelf table. The biggest benefit to purchasing a custom table is that you will get with exact precision what you want.
Probably one of the biggest things people like to customize is the felt itself. Even off the self tables will allow you to put a custom screen print on the table, but you may be limited in the felt material and color. For example, you can put your logo on as long as it goes on green or red. With a custom table you can select any of the limitless colors or choose to use something called speed cloth. Speed cloth is typically reserved for custom tables because of the expense. It is a high quality material designed to withstand years of abuse.
The other item people think about with a custom table is the color of the wood. Some people prefer darker wood while others prefer lighter wood. Additionally, they want the railing to be wood instead of padded or have a wood racetrack on the inside.
The last issue is the legs themselves. The less expensive tables typically come with folding legs. You may want wooden legs or something totally different. In one rare case we had a customer who didn’t want any legs at all.
